Mysa Sleigh Bed
An original Chilton Furniture Co. design, the Mysa Sleigh Bed is a Scandinavian-inspired wood platform bed built in a small shop in Mid-Coast Maine. Clean minimalist lines compliment the warmth and texture of solid maple on this modern sleigh bed. Goes perfectly with our Mysa nightstand. Our Mysa Bed is a platform bed and does not require a boxspring.

Please note that when your new cherry wood furniture arrives, it may be lighter in color than the wood shown in the accompanying photo. New cherry wood is initially a pale, straw color and gradually darkens to a beautiful amber over time with exposure to light.
Platform vs. Standard Bed Frame
A Standard bed frame typically comes with 3-5 "slats", or pieces of wood that lay across the side rails of the bed frame. These slats are designed to hold a traditional box spring, or foundation, which sits under a mattress to provide support.
A Platform bed has either plywood or sufficient slats running down the length of the bed frame to directly support a mattress without the need for a box spring.
Platform beds typically cost a little more than Standard ones, but they avoid the need to purchase a box spring and allow for a more modern, lower profile look.

Chilton offers nation-wide white glove delivery service, which means that your furniture will be carefully blanket wrapped, transported to your home, carried inside, and assembled, as needed. Your charge is a flat rate based upon delivery distance from Maine, and includes an unlimited number of pieces (a particularly good value for larger orders). For single item orders of smaller pieces, please call to inquire whether common carrier shipping is available. Delivery times can take between two and nine weeks, depending on location and distance from our Maine warehouse. For deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, or otherwise outside of the continental US, please call our showrooms to inquire about delivery options.

Delivery Costs for Lighting and Home Accessories
When lighting and home accessories are ordered along with furniture, the delivery expense is included in the cost of the furniture delivery. When ordered separately, the delivery cost for lighting is a flat $45 for an unlimited number of lighting pieces. The delivery cost for smaller home accessories is $9.95. For larger home accessories ordered separately that can be shipped by common carrier, please call for a quote.
Beautiful solid bed, just what I hoped and expected in design and quality. No movement at all even when there is human movement. I like to touch the headboard and just feel the beautiful wood.

fabulous design; subtle yet flawless
We could not be happier with our Chilton experience and bed frame. We walked in on a lark, expecting only to find traditional styles that are not our taste. Instead, they had a wide variety of styles and we found a frame that was perfect for us: modern and clean lines, but not self-consciously trendy and “cool” (and therefore likely to look dated very soon). It’s also more distinctive and much better made than the mass-produced (and mass-advertised) Trendy Top Seller from an online or major retailer. The frame is sturdy and beautiful. I love that we bought it from an actual store that works with craftsmen. And our interactions with people in the showroom and at the point of delivery were easy and comfortable.
I got this bed in May in queen-size cherry and love it. It was put together in less than twenty minutes after delivery and the cherry wood itself had a nice faint, slightly sweet scent of good wood. The support from the wood slats is excellent. The finish is impeccable. This was my first purchase of a piece of Chilton furniture and I've recommended it, and Chilton for their customer service (shoutout to Zac B.), to many friends, as it will last a lifetime.

Absolutely delighted with this lovely piece. The lines are clean and subtle which is true to form for Scandinavian furniture. One of the nicest features of this bed is how little time it took to set up due to the interlocking joints on the side rails. It was literally a "line-up/slide connection for the head and base board. Carrying the bed parts from the car to the room and then setting it up took less than 10 mins. The bed slats are sturdy and linked together with fabric strips between each slat so sliding around is not an issue. Chilton makes beautiful furniture and this new bed plus other pieces we have bought in the past are items we will be proud to pass down in the family.
