Bangor Bed
Chilton’s Bangor bed with reverse tapered legs pays homage to the Bungalow Arts & Crafts movement that spread in California in the early part of the 20th century. This bed coordinates perfectly with the Bangor chest, nightstand and dresser.
Shown in solid cherry. Also available in solid maple, walnut and quarter-sawn white oak.
Please note that when your new cherry wood furniture arrives, it may be lighter in color than the wood shown in the accompanying photo. New cherry wood is initially a pale, straw color and gradually darkens to a beautiful amber over time with exposure to light.

A Standard bed frame typically comes with 3-5 "slats", or pieces of wood that lay across the side rails of the bed frame. These slats are designed to hold a traditional box spring, or foundation, which sits under a mattress to provide support.
A Platform bed has either plywood or sufficient slats running down the length of the bed frame to directly support a mattress without the need for a box spring.
Platform beds typically cost a little more than Standard ones, but they avoid the need to purchase a box spring and allow for a more modern, lower profile look.

Your charge is a flat rate based upon delivery distance from Maine, and includes an unlimited number of pieces (a particularly good value for larger orders). For single item orders of smaller pieces, please call to inquire whether common carrier shipping is available. Delivery times can take between two and nine weeks, depending on location and distance from our Maine warehouse. Delivery Costs for Lighting and Home Accessories
When lighting and home accessories are ordered along with furniture, the delivery expense is included in the cost of the furniture delivery. When ordered separately, the delivery cost for lighting is a flat $45 for an unlimited number of lighting pieces. The delivery cost for smaller home accessories is $9.95. For larger home accessories ordered separately that can be shipped by common carrier, please call us for a quote.
Beautiful bed, looks just as I expected from pictures. Had looked at any other beds on line and in furniture stores but am so glad I made this purchase.
The bed is well built and the fit and finish is good. I would have preferred if the top two horizontal rails on the tops of the head and tail pieces had been fastened with a little more attention to detail/fit and finish. On my, there are 3 holes either plugged or puttied to cover the screws attaching the top. If they are plugged, it would have been preferred to color match the plugs a bit better. In either case, the wood was not completely sanded smooth so, when looking at an angle to the surface, it's easy to see a slight bump at each hole.
Despite having a bad cold the first night I slept in my new bed, I felt totally comfortable. The bed is beautiful and fits very nicely in our room.
